After the initial phase of looking around and learning around you, you should find your niche, or determine your target market. Taking the time to decide what your niche market is is the smartest way to continue your business. Find out what you enjoy the most and have passion for it.

Although not all niche markets are your passion, if you find a niche that you are passionate about, it will be more enjoyable for you.

The reason people stay online is twofold: information and community. Everyone on the internet wants to find out more about a topic that interests them or can answer their questions. They are also looking for people who have the same interests and that is the community.

Once you begin to understand this fact, take the time to personalize it. Take self-help or self-development for example, it is a very wide niche, but you can narrow it down by offering self-help products and under more specific fields, such as brainwave technology, mind therapy, sleep therapy and so on.

Once you know which niche to go to, you will need to set up a blog to gear towards these areas later. Join the forum, learn, and offer others any help you can.

Take time to be yourself and develop a real interest in the subject and those who show similar interest. You may be the person who can create the kind of products and services that can solve their problems and meet their needs.

I’m not a technician, so I use Jeff Houdy’s eSmartJob.com to set up for both my WordPress blogs. Make a living honest blog and think of a successful blog.
